Guillermo Lopez-Vila was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1997. He attended public elementary and high school in Connecticut, subsequently graduating to earn a B.A. in Art History from Boston College. His curriculum focused on Abstract Expressionism and the Modern Western canon. Beyond making art, Guillermo is passionate about spending time in museums, strolling through parks, and serving his community. He currently lives in Harlem, New York City.

Guillermo received his first camera when he was eight years-old. He studied documentary photography in college and eventually found psychological solace in his creativity through the medium. Each of his current images is the product of manually processed monochromatic film.
